Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

TCF Practice (https://tcfpractice.omnipotent.live) is a free educational tool. We do not charge fees or sell subscriptions. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the service and how we handle it.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use the app, we may store:

  • Account information (your unique account identifier)
  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Saved essays and practice responses
  • Saved and shared questions
  • Practice statistics and progress
  • AI provider preferences
  • API keys (encrypted)

We aim to collect only what is needed to operate the learning platform.

API keys

  • You provide your own API keys — we never issue them.
  • API keys are encrypted before they are stored.
  • Keys are used only to communicate with the AI provider you select when you request an evaluation.
  • Keys are never intentionally shared with other users.
  • You can delete a saved key at any time from Settings.

You are responsible for your API accounts, usage, and any charges from AI providers. TCF Practice is not responsible for third-party billing or provider outages.

AI providers

When you request an evaluation, TCF Practice sends your task prompt and essay to the external AI provider you selected, using your key. Those providers process the request on their own systems and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Please review the privacy policy of every provider you use (OpenAI, xAI/Grok, Google, Anthropic, or your self-hosted Ollama instance).

Community questions

Questions you voluntarily share publicly become visible to other users of TCF Practice. You are responsible for what you upload.

Do not include personal information, sensitive data, or copyrighted material you do not have permission to share in community questions.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for:

  • Authentication
  • Preferences
  • Login sessions
  • Security

See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect stored data, including encryption of API keys. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes user-owned data stored by TCF Practice where this is technically feasible.

Some content you shared publicly (such as community questions) may require separate removal or moderation.

Children

TCF Practice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us to request deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
